JACKSONVILLE, 60 miles north, is Florida's largest city.  The downtown water front area called, the Landing, is a favorite leisure area.
ST. AUGUSTINE, 25 miles north, is the Nation's oldest city founded in 1562, and a National  historic landmark.  A visit to the old Fort, Charles St., and the Alligator Farm are a must.
FLAGLER BEACH, 4 miles east, is a small rural beach town.  You can fish from the pier or ride the surf board.
DAYTONA BEACH, 25 miles south, is the World's most famous beach as the locals claim.  The third week end in February is the Daytona 500 race which begins the NASCAR season.  Take a track tour.   Daytona USA features a driving simulator to test your racing skills.  If you are a NASCAR fan, this is a must!

The first week end in March is Bike Week.  Motorcycle enthusiasts world-wide flock to the Florida sunshine to enjoy a week of riding and racing on the Speedway Track.

If you don't have a room reservation a year in advance of Race Week and Bike Week, you will be lucky to find a place to stay within 50 miles of Daytona.

TITUSVILLE, 60 miles south, is the home of America's Space Port, Cape Canaveral.  The Kennedy Space Center is another must see while in central Florida.

Airboat rides out in the St. John's River swamps are a real exciting experience.  You will see alligators in their natural environment along with a variety of other local wildlife.

ORLANDO, 90 miles southwest, is our Theme Park Mecca.  Disney World, Sea World, Water World, Epcot, MGM, and Universal Studios are the major highlights.
SILVER SPRINGS, 50 miles west, features glass bottom boat rides providing spectacular  underwater viewing in one of Florida's crystal clear spring fed rivers.
RAINBOW RIVER, 80 miles west, is a spectacular float dive for those who like to snorkel.  The beginning of the river is a large spring causing a surprisingly swift river  current .  All one needs to do is lay face down in the water and let the current carry you down stream.  Area dive shops have all needed equipment to make your water experience memorable.
